** VSU Internship
————————————————————

** An opportunity to develop leadership skills and community awareness.
————————————————————

Look at how much fun these fools are having! Every year, VSU offers a year-long internship program that develops interested students into future leaders and advocates of the Vietnamese-American community. This program introduces interns as to the inner workings of the VSU, HOPE, and SEA CLEAR spaces and how the Union operates as an organization. Interns will also work on a holistic set of leadership skills including public speech, event planning, time management and capacity building. Additionally, the internship will focus on the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian culture and identity. If this opportunity is something that interests you, please do apply! APPLICATIONS FOR VSU INTERNSHIP ARE DUE THIS WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 9TH. Please submit an email copy of your application to Johnny Tran at thejohnnytran27@gmail.com by OCTOBER 9TH to be eligible for this internship. VSU internship is an incredibly rewarding experience and we hope that you consider it. (Note: 1st year students
interested in VSU internship are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to apply!)

** Join a VSU Family
————————————————————
As you know (Hopefully you know), VSU has a family system that helps all of our members in creating another support system and social circle on campus. We provide VSU big brothers and big sisters (Or in Vietnamese, anh and chị) without all of the annoyances that real-life brothers and sisters come with! Every member will get assigned to a family, but if there is anybody that you’ve met already that you’d like to be in the same family as, please let us know! We’ll be sure to keep you together. ** High School Conference Volunteer Applications OPEN!

High School Conference is an event that VSU coordinates every year that brings at-risk high school students to UCLA to empower and give them the tools necessary in order to pursue higher education. Students who attend HSC are placed into families headed by UCLA students and attend academic and personal development workshops facilitated by UCLA students! If you are interested in positively affecting the lives of these at-risk students, we highly encourage you to volunteer for HSC! Because it is an event completely run BY STUDENTS, we will appreciate any and all help we can get in order to make this year’s HSC amazing! Link to the volunteer application below.

SEA CLEAR Internship is a space where students will be able to explore their identity, develop critical consciousness, challenge themselves and others to practice compassionate shared leadership, and advocate for the Southeast Asian community. The Internship program offers an opportunity for students to grow as leaders, organizers, and well-rounded individuals through developing a strong sense of identity and learning the needs and conditions of the Southeast Asian community. On top of building leadership skills, interns will develop skills to foster public speaking, interviews, and critical thinking. Interested?? Apply now! Complete the application and either turn in a hard copy into the SEA CLEAR cubicle in the Student Activities Center, 105 or send it through email.

All applications are due Monday October 7th at 5pm!
