UCLAxUSC: Community Town Hall Scheduled for Feb. 19th

Published by:

Thank you for standing with us last Monday at our press conference and rally. Your support is tremendously valuable in our ongoing response to the injustices that have affected our community here at UCLA and beyond.

But the dialogue is not over.

In response to the racist flyers that were sent to both the UCLA Asian American Studies Center and USC Asian Pacific American Students Services, the API students at both UCLA and USC are teaming up to host a town hall meeting. Here we will discuss what has happened, how we are moving forward, and how the community can help out. The crosstown campuses are standing in solidarity to demand the administrations at both institutions to look at current policies and programs (or lack thereof) and understand that these attacks on the API community stem from a lack of understanding of diversity and an abundance of misguided beliefs.

Faculty, student leaders, and community leaders across Los Angeles will be speaking up and facilitating discussions. Ideas and action items will be created to ensure administrative accountability with regards to our demands.
